Cover begins on the date you sign up. However, the first 30 days are a validation period — claims for pre-existing faults cannot be made in this window. This keeps costs fair for everyone.
No. There are no call-out fees, no hidden charges and no excess payments on any Hearth plan. Your monthly price is the only price.
Yes. Hearth operates on a rolling monthly basis with no minimum term. Cancel any time with no penalty — and we'll refund any unused days in your current month.
Boilers under 12 years old are covered at our standard rates. Oil and LPG boilers carry a small £6/month surcharge. Boilers over 12 years can still be covered — a specialist will discuss your options when they call.
Absolutely. Hearth covers both homeowners and tenants. If you're a tenant, it's worth checking your tenancy agreement — your landlord may already have some cover in place. Either way, you're welcome to get additional cover for peace of mind.
For emergency breakdowns, we aim to have an engineer with you within 4 hours. For non-urgent work and annual services, we'll agree a convenient appointment — typically within 3–5 working days.
